𝟏. 𝗜𝗡 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗛 𝗥𝗔𝗝𝗣𝗨𝗧 𝗦𝗨𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗗𝗘/𝗠𝗨𝗥𝗗𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘: A petition has been moved before the Chief justice of Bombay High Court for an independent investigation or an SIT headed by a retired Judge on 30th July 2020 (MUMBAI)

𝟐. 𝐁𝐈𝐆𝐆𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐒: The National Green Tribunal has ordered to GCGSCL (Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation Limited) to Compensate the kin of a dead Presidency College (University) student Sumantika Banerjee to the tune of Rs.64 lakh on 30th July 2020 (KOLKATA)

𝟑. 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐂 𝐓𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐄 “𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓” 𝐀𝐍𝐃 “𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐑” 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐓𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍’𝐒 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐄: A petition has been filed before the Supreme Court seeking to remove from the constitution’s preamble the words ‘socialist’ and ‘secular’ which were added through 42nd constitutional amendment.

𝟒. 𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐕𝐈𝐊𝐀𝐒 𝐃𝐔𝐁𝐄𝐘’𝐒 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐏𝐀𝐋 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐈 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒: one of the accused and one of dead gangster Vikas Dubey’s key aide, absconding from the July 3 killing of eight policemen Kanpur, carrying a reward of ₹ 1 lakh on him, surrendered before a Mati district court in Kanpur Dehat on Wednesday, 29th July 2020.

𝟓. 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍 “𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐎” 𝐎𝐍 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐒𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐎𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝟏𝟖 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐒 𝐌𝐋𝐀𝐬: To challenging the Rajasthan High Court’s order the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker has moved the Supreme Court.

𝟔. 𝐒𝐂 𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐄𝐃 𝐀 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐎𝐍 𝐀 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀 𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐌𝐀𝐋 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆: A Notice issued by SC on a plea seeking action against the practice of encouraging and rewarding the killing of wild animals, declared as “VERMIN KILLING” in India. (30th July,2020)

𝟕. 𝐒𝐂 𝐁𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐇 𝐎𝐍 “𝐒𝐌𝐎𝐆 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐉𝐄𝐂𝐓”: A bench headed by Justices Arun Mishra, BR Gavai and Krishna Murari, directed the center to explain why the smog tower project, envisaged to bring the pollution in Delhi under control has not been completed in time. The bench was furious and said: “We will not tolerate this laxity.”

𝟖. 𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘 𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝟒𝟓 𝐃𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐒𝐇𝐀 𝐓𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐃𝐄: The Bombay High Court has granted Emergency Parole of 45 days to Asha Tayade, who was convicted of murder and sentenced to life, serving her term at Yerwada Prison, Pune.

𝟗. 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐋𝐇𝐈 𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐈-𝐃𝐎𝐏𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘 (𝐍𝐀𝐃𝐀) 𝐓𝐎 𝐅𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐋𝐘: A plea has been filed by Athlete Abhijeet Gurav challenging his suspension from participating in any powerlifting competition in the world after the agency charged him for violation of its rules.

𝟏𝟎. 𝐒𝐂 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐓𝐘: The Supreme Court has restored the punishment of the penalty of cashiering to Ex. Lt. Col. S.S. Bedi who was a Medical Specialist in the Indian Army Medical Corps found guilty of the charge of using criminal force against two women patients.
