  1. TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY GETS THE RIGHT TO INHERIT ANCESTRAL AGRICULTURAL LAND: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cabinet cleared an amendment to the UP-Revenue Code of 2006, removing the limitations of No-men-culture in inheritance law which only mentions Son, daughter, married, unmarried, widow. (The changes have been made to section 4(10), 108(2),109 and 110 of Up-Revenue code 2020)
  2. LIFELONG INCARCERATION WITHOUT REMISSION CANNOT BE IMPOSED BY TRIAL COURTS: Punjab and Haryana HC recently held that life imprisonment with deprivation of remission of a sentence or of parole is not to be dealt by the trial court in the matter of “Savitri V/s State of Haryana”.
  3. UP LOCAL COURT GRANTS BAIL TO TWO TABLIGHI JAMAAT MEMBERS: Two Tablighi Jamaat members, accused of hiding in the mosque after Delhi meet and spreading the COVID-19 infection have been granted bail on Friday.
  4. Delhi District Courts took up 67000 cases through video conferencing and pronounced judgments in 3700 cases during the period of COVID-19.

  5. TENDER OF MANUFACTURING 44 ‘VANDE BHARAT’ TRAINS CANCELLED: The Ministry of Railway has canceled the tender for manufacturing for 44 sets of semi-high speed ‘Vande Bharat’ train set and said that a new tender will be issued to meet the revised ‘Make in India’ guidelines.
