  1.  INDEPENDENCE DAY: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of National Digital Health from today. Special training will be provided to about one lakh cadets.
  2. ISRAEL-INDIA COOPERATION: Israel has given state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence-based technologies and high-end equipment to AIIMS, Delhi as part of Israel-India cooperation to fight the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
  3. LADAKH: Ladakh Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur has unveiled the Flag, Formation Sign and Epaulettes of the newly formed police force. The flag has a national emblem, ”Satyamev Jayate”, and a floral cover of Juniper leaves which are considered auspicious in both Leh and Kargil districts.
  4. BANGLADESH, JAPAN SIGNED BIG ODA LOAN DEAL: Japan has signed its largest-ever loan package worth dollar 3.1 billion for Bangladesh. Announcing this in Dhaka on Wednesday, the embassy of Japan said that the loan under its Official Development Assistance (ODA) will be given for seven projects of Bangladesh under concessional terms.
  5. MOST VALUABLE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: TURIN (Italy) Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo was named as ‘Juventus’ ‘Most Valuable Player of the Year’. Ronaldo had ended the 2019-20 season with 37 goals and broke the records for registering the most goals in a single season.
  6. KARMA SATHI PRAKALPA: The Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee launched the KARMA SATHI PRAKALPA Scheme with an aim to make the poor unemployed youth self-reliant on the International Youth Day.
  7. ASSAM ARUNODAY SCHEME: The Assam Government has announced to implement the Assam Arunoday Scheme with an aim to provide financial assistance to around 17 lakh families from 2 October.
  8. NEW CHAIRMAN OF Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER): Pramod Bhasin has been appointed as a new chairman of (ICRIER) by replacing Isher Judge Ahluwalia.
  9. SWACHH BHARAT MISSION ACADEMY: Union Minister of Jal Shakti “Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat” launched the Swachh Bharat Mission Academy at an event as part of the ongoing week-long behavior change campaign ‘Gandagi Mukt Bharat’.
  10. The Tibetan spiritual leader, Dalai Lama, will release a new book titled “Our Only Home: A Climate Appeal to the World” on climate change with German environmental journalist, Franz Alt in November.
